Business Coaching – How it works

How it works

Our coaching package is designed to assist you in achieving your goals, through both one to one sessions with a coach and use of our Persona Personality Profile and 360 feedback tools.

Before your first coaching session, you will be asked to complete the Persona Questionnaire. The resulting report will help you coach to better understand you and how you work. The Persona Profile gives valuable insight into your strengths, that can be used to help you achieve your goals, and your development points, or areas where you may struggle.

The process

Step 1

You will be asked to complete a Persona Personality Profile in advance of your first coaching session. The first coaching session will identify your goals, where you are now and what you perceive to be the challenges that you face in achieving your goals. It will also determine the most appropriate 360 feedback for you and discuss how this will work.

Step 2

Between the first and second session, you will complete your 360 feedback exercise, which will be fed back to you by your coach. This information will be used to help you put an action plan in place to achieve your goals.

Step 3

The third coaching session takes place after you have begun to put your plan in place. It takes stock of how things are going and if the plan needs to be adjusted to better enable you to achieve your goals.

Step 4

Further coaching sessions can be added after this if required. The package of 3 initial sessions, plus 360 feedback and Persona Profile are designed as a kick start along the path to your goals, giving you the tools and the confidence to move forward.

The process

The 360 process usually takes three weeks.

1. Start date – E-mail sent to participants with a link to their set up page. They are asked to nominate colleagues within the next week. If they do not nominate colleagues, reminders are sent. Once participants have nominated their colleagues, they can fill in their self-assessment.

2. Once colleagues have been nominated, they receive an e-mail link to the feedback questionnaire. The feedback is generally left open for at least two weeks to give colleagues time to contribute.

3. Towards the end of the feedback period, reminders are sent to colleagues who have not yet completed the feedback, and participants who have not completed their self-assessment.

4. Close date – The 360 feedback reports are generated after the close date and sent out as pdf files. Feedback received after the close date will still be recorded and participants will receive a link to download an updated copy of their report from the 360 system.

Our standard timescales allow one week for participants to set up and a further two weeks for the collection of feedback. If your project requires different timescales, please let us know.
